The first president of the United States was George Washington, who contributed in the establishment of a stable government with a president to make important decisions in part with the nation. The musical depicts two elections, George Washington and John Adams, leading up to the Election of 1800 when President Thomas Jefferson is elected after he is endorsed by Secretary Alexander Hamilton.
