Graham Windham is the name of the first private orphanage in New York City, co-founded by Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, the wife of Secretary Alexander Hamilton, after he passed away. A group of women, Isabella Graham, Joanna Graham, and Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, founded the orphanage [1]. The orphanage contributed to the upbringing of hundreds of children as a private orphanage.
